29-year-old Joel Todd McLemore was standing outside a home on 16th Street in Lancaster, South Carolina when Demarcus O’Brien Foster pulled a gun and shot him in the head.
Joel was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died the next day — September 28, 2017.
Foster was convicted of murder in March 2019 and sentenced to life without parole. His prior record included a manslaughter conviction. Maryam Rivera and Quinterious Truesdale were charged as accessories after Rivera allegedly drove Foster from the scene.
Joel was a son and brother. His family lost him on what started as an ordinary night.
Never forget him.
