Modeling Iran's Energy Future with #EnergyPLAN
The EnergyPLAN model has been used to model 5 scenarios for a future energy system in Iran.
The paper shows that in oil-rich countries the energy system efficiency improvement is significantly reduces the CO2 emission.

Key findings: 1% power plant efficiency + 22% renewable growth = 4% CO2 cut. Efficiency upgrades are vital for CO2 reduction in oil-rich nations.
