Attending ExCom was deeply meaningful to me, not just as a refugee advocate, but as someone with lived experience of forced displacement. Having the opportunity to speak about local welcome, trust, and refugee leadership reminded me why this work matters so much to me.

A special moment during the ExCom was meeting with the UNHCR High Commissioner. As a refugee advocate and humanitarian, I remain committed to amplifying the voices of refugees, strengthening local welcome, and promoting trust between refugees and host communities.
