Ruby laughed when Emma told her Henry’s answer.
“I knew he’d say yes.”
She smiled brightly.
“Just let me know when. We’ll grab some hot chocolate, maybe a bite to eat, and make a day of it.”
Ruby smiled reassuringly.
“I’m really glad you did too. And hey, you’ve got a friend in me now. You don’t have to hide away anymore.” She gave Judy a warm, encouraging grin.
Ruby’s smile softened as she squeezed Judy’s hand back.
“Yeah… I think you’re right. And I’m really glad you reached out.” She flashed her a warm, genuine grin.
Ruby smiled, giving Judy’s hand a gentle pat.
“Now I’m really looking forward to it. Good wine, homemade cupcakes, and good company? You can’t beat that.”
Ruby let out a laugh, shaking her head with a grin.
“Cupcakes, hot chocolate, and wine? Judy, I think you’ve just planned the perfect girls’ night. Count me in.”
Ruby’s smile softened as she nodded.
“I’d love that. You bring the ingredients, and I’ll bring the hot chocolate. Sounds like the perfect girls’ day to me.” She grinned warmly.
Ruby laughed, her eyes lighting up.
“Birthday cake with sprinkles? Okay, you’ve officially sold me. Next time you bake, I’m expecting one with my name on it.” She flashed Judy a playful grin.
Ruby smiled warmly.
“You’ve definitely got a talent for art. But hey, who’s to say you can’t bake every now and then too? I’d happily be your taste tester.” She laughed.
Ruby laughed, peeking over at Judy’s menu.
“Well, looks like our night’s already getting better. We are definitely getting cupcakes.” She flashed Judy a grin.
Ruby smiled softly as she picked up a menu of her own.
“Yeah… no matter what we’ve all been through, Granny’s always feels like home.”
Ruby chuckled, resting an elbow on the counter.
“Some days it definitely feels that way. But hey, I love this place… even if it’s nice to get a night off once in a while.”
Ruby laughed as she slid onto the stool beside Judy.
“Now that is a nice change. Feels weird being on this side of the counter for once.” She flashed her friend a grin.
Ruby smiled warmly as she stepped inside first.
“Aww, you’re sweet. I’ll do my best to keep that streak alive.” She laughed, holding the door for Judy behind her.
Ruby grinned, laughing along.
“That’s the plan, Rubs never disappoints.” She gave Judy a playful wink as they headed toward Granny’s.
Ruby smirked, nudging Judy with her shoulder.
“Well, I can’t promise hot men… but I can promise a fun night.”
Ruby laughed, her eyes lighting up.
“Now that’s the spirit. C’mon, let’s see what kind of trouble we can almost get into.”
Ruby chuckled as she started walking beside Judy.
“Here’s hoping. And if not, we’ll make our own fun.”
Ruby laughed softly, flashing her trademark grin.
“I’d love to! I was getting bored too. Let’s head to Granny’s and figure it out from there.”
