One thing I’ve seen for a fact is that a lot of “Nigeria Twitter Feminists” are often more interested in winning arguments, shaming loyal women, and fighting with men, than addressing the actual issues affecting women. Their outrage is selective, their activism is performative, and the moment an issue doesn’t fit their narrative, they transfigure to manipulators.

If all else fails, we will outlive you. Every dogma mistakes longevity for immortality. Your institutions will crumble. You will become the superstition of a dark age. We will tell our grandchildren about the cancer that you were & history will do the rest. Time is on our side.
Kaduna, thank you for the overwhelming welcome today as we flagged off our APC 2027 Presidential Campaign. Three years ago, you gave me the privilege of serving as your President. Today, you filled this city again, hundreds of thousands of you from across the North, and I felt the warmth of your support. It was good to return with Vice President Kashim Shettima @officialsksm and our wives to a city that carries so much of our nation’s history. I remembered the founding leaders who gathered here before independence and prayed that Almighty Allah grants them forgiveness and eternal peace. Then I spoke to you plainly, because you have heard enough speeches. My opponents talk about hunger and poverty. I asked the crowd today who created these problems. They did. We are the ones working to eradicate them. The subsidy racket, fraudulent invoices and fuel smuggling are firmly behind us, and there is no going back. We confronted what we inherited with courage and political will, and we are building an economy that rewards hard work and creates opportunities for our people. I know the road has been hard. I hear you. Your sacrifices will not be in vain, and I will not rest until the progress we are making is felt in your homes, your businesses and your pockets. Our progressive governors are building roads, hospitals, schools and markets across their states, supported by increased revenues from the reforms we undertook. Salaries are being paid regularly, and development is taking shape. I am proud of what they are delivering for our people. On January 16, 2027, come out with your PVCs and give Vice President Kashim Shettima and me the mandate to finish what we started. Your future is in your hands, and your fingerprints at the ballot will help determine it. Thank you, Governor Uba Sani @ubasanius, for a befitting start to our campaign. Thank you, Kaduna, for standing with us once again. #RenewedHopeInKaduna #TinubuShettima2027 #RenewedHope2.0

Pope Leo XIV celebrated Mass at noon on Friday in the room set up on the 10th floor of Gemelli Hospital, according to the Holy See Press Office. Several members of Gemelli's medical and nursing staff attended the Mass, along with members of the Vatican City State Gendarmerie Corps. "In his homily, the Pope thanked all the staff—doctors, nurses, and orderlies—for the work they do every day caring for patients in their frailty, and especially for what they have done and continue to do for him," read the statement.

Canada and Australia have issued travel advisories warning their citizens travelling to Nigeria to take serious precautions regarding food and drinks, including risks associated with unsafe food and water, adulterated alcohol, and methanol poisoning. The growing concerns around the safety and quality of consumable products in Nigeria should be taken very seriously. The level of fake and substandard products in the country is at an all-time high, and NAFDAC is contributing significantly to this menace.

This makes no sense whatsoever. This is a big fat lie. Abia Daily has investigated this issue. AND THIS IS WHAT WE FOUND👇👇👇👇 The Anambra Water Corporation dispute was inherited by Peter Obi, addressed in part during his tenure, and only taken off the court list in 2024. It is not evidence that he created the crisis. 17 March 2006: Peter Obi was sworn in as Governor of Anambra State. February–25 April 2006: Water Corporation staff had last been paid in February 2006. On 25 April 2006, less than six weeks into the new administration, the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Chuks Iloegbunam, formally drew attention to that backlog and asked that the corporation be placed on regular subvention. The arrears were therefore already in existence at the point Obi assumed office. They were not opened by him. 2000–2005: Subsequent official accounts of the later court payout treated a substantial part of the Water Corporation debt as having accumulated from about 2000, through the administrations of Chinwoke Mbadinuju and Chris Ngige. The utility’s decline was structural and predated 2006. 2006–2008: The Obi administration subjected the swollen wage-bill claims to consultant review (MEDAL). That was an attempt to separate verified entitlements from a disordered backlog, not an act of neglect. 2007: The same later record that is now used against Obi also states that his administration released about ₦200 million as part payment of Water Corporation and related arrears which it had both inherited and then carried. That is a documented payment into the file. April 2009 / December 2009: AUPCTRE referred a trade dispute to the Minister of Labour. The union’s own claim was already multi-year: 48 months’ salaries and eight years’ leave allowance for Water Corporation staff, and 25 months’ salaries plus eight years’ leave for ANSEPA staff. Early Industrial Arbitration Panel figures were calculated as at December 2009. Those pleadings describe a long backlog. They do not describe a debt invented in March 2006. 2013: While the labour dispute continued, the Obi administration moved to rehabilitate water infrastructure, including the Greater Onitsha Water Scheme and the long-abandoned Ogidi scheme, with planned extensions to Obosi, Ogidi, Nkpor, Nkwelle Ezunaka and Umunya. That was an attempt to restore the utility itself, not merely to argue about personnel. 17 March 2014: Obi left office. 14 July 2014: The National Industrial Court issued a garnishee order of about ₦1.86 billion against state accounts. That enforcement came after Obi’s tenure. The succeeding Obiano administration announced payment of that sum and itself described the arrears as stretching back to about 2000. 3 June 2019 and January 2022: Further National Industrial Court enforcement followed under later governments. The file remained live after 2014. 6 February 2024: The Soludo administration and AUPCTRE signed an out-of-court settlement at the Office of the Head of Service, Awka, bringing the 14-year legal contest to a close. 2026: The same government that signed that settlement later revived the closed file as a political charge against Obi. Conclusion: The corporation was treated as shut down around 2012 during Obi’s tenure, and the labour question was not finally regularised until 2024. It was an ongoing legal dispute and the Anambra State Govt. under Mr. Peter Obi could not possibly engage in subjudice by paying monies towards a case still in court. Those facts do not convert an inherited, multi-administration collapse into a crisis of Obi’s making. He met unpaid staff already in arrears. His government paid into that debt, reviewed the claims, and attempted to revive water schemes. Later administrations continued the litigation. Governor Soludo settled the case in February 2024 and subsequently deployed a concluded matter as a political instrument. The documentary timeline does not support the claim that Peter Obi created this dispute #MakeAlaIgboGreatAgain
PART 2: EVIDENCE PETER OBI LIED This is the first tranche of payment to Anambra State workers—entitlements left unpaid by Peter Obi in his eight years as governor, now being paid by Gov. Soludo’s administration.

🇺🇸 8:30 p.m., September 11, 2001. President Bush addresses the nation from the Oval Office. It is the first time America sees him back in the White House. He had started the day in a second-grade classroom in Sarasota. Then Barksdale. Then Offutt. Then Andrews. The speech lasted four minutes. “Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shattered steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve.” Toward the end he recited Psalm 23: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me.” National Archives, NAID 6171390

Frame 1: Rotimi Amaechi, Atiku’s VP, present on Day 1 of the Global Crusade at Deeper Life Bible Church, in Abuja. Pastor Kumuyi brought him up to the altar. Frame 2: Amaechi at the 2026 Catholic Men’s Guild Conference, in Lagos. He was recognized and brought to the altar too. Unfortunately, the congregations at both programmes paid him little attention and gave him no cheers. On both occasions, Atiku’s supporters cheered Amaechi as an astute politician, and the so-called neutralists stayed mute. Peter Obi appeared at the Koinonia and got the usual electrifying applause and cheers, and everywhere caught fire.🔥 Even the so-called neutralists, whom I consider despicably mischievous, came for Apostle Selman’s head for calling Obi upstage. You political jobbers and paid influencers are worse humans than the cr!minal politicians holding down this country.✍️

You just know he's jobless. Get him a job at Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, KPMG, Seplat Energy, or Schlumberger. Send him on one or two foreign trips for assignments or training, and watch this foolishness end. You are not preaching any gospel; you are constituting a nuisance. Have you ever wondered if non-Christians are there? Don't you think you might be inconveniencing them? We really need to ban these types of activities. Religion and its practices should be a matter of personal choice. Evangelism should have gone past this stage. You can share flyers, use social media, or any other means that doesn't disturb public peace. I don't understand why people will leave their houses in search of their daily bread, and you start disturbing them in public transport, marketplaces, parks, etc. Imagine if a traditional worshipper or a Muslim did the same thing. To make it even worse, this preaching usually ends one way: soliciting for tithes, seeds, and offerings. You're in business, so why wouldn't you preach the gospel until your last breath? 😂
Until my last breath, I will continue preaching the gospel. #Evangelism

Foreign Interference: Western NGO Slanders Zambian Government Weeks Before Elections Zambia is set to hold its general elections on August 13 this year. The landlocked, mineral-rich Southern African country has been recently moving to boost its copper production, as well as strengthen economic relations with its East African neighbor Tanzania, through the China-backed upgrading of a 51-year-old railway corridor linking both countries. On July 21, barely a month before Zambia’s upcoming elections, US, UK and Belgium-based NGO, @Global_Witness released a scathing report, in which it accused the Zambian government of impoverishing its people and trampling on their human rights to serve foreign corporate interests. In this report, The Spearhead sheds light on the reality behind this hypocritical and hilariously uncreative smear campaign.

The increasing use of federal institutions to disrupt governance in opposition states in Nigeria is condemnable. As I said in my last newsletter, no government is above scrutiny but when institutions like the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are utilised to witch hunt specific states or public office holders, it indicates that their investigations are selective and erodes public trust in these institutions. The “freezing” of an official state government account without due legal process goes beyond the powers vested in the EFCC by the laws of our land. And the timing of the action suggests that this is just another attempt by the federal government to unduly influence the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State. Federal institutions must remain faithful to their constitutional mandate by acting with fairness, professionalism and political neutrality at all times. We therefore call on all Nigerians, civil society organisations and the international community to remain vigilant. Democracy cannot thrive where our institutions are perceived as instruments of political intimidation. Protecting the independence and credibility of our institutions is essential to preserving public trust and safeguarding Nigeria's democracy. The rule of law must prevail over the rule of politics.
