LSU Softball is set to welcome an intriguing group of 2029 prospects to campus this weekend for its experience camp, and the visitor list includes a mix of in-state standouts, national recognition, and players already building impressive résumés at a young age. One of the biggest names expected on campus is Trinity Hargrett, a nationally regarded infielder who has already earned recognition as the No. 1 infielder in the country in the 2029 class by Extra Inning Softball. Hargrett is not from Louisiana, but she brings major star power to the camp. Her ability to impact the game in multiple ways was on display this summer when she hit for the cycle in Colorado, further underscoring why she is viewed as one of the elite young players in the class. LSU is also expected to host several Louisiana prospects who are already proven winners. Analiese Holmes, Ansley Johnson, and Macie Cameron were all part of Louisiana state championship teams as freshmen this past season, which gives this camp group a strong in-state championship feel. Holmes, a Pineville product, brings one of the more eye-catching offensive profiles of the group. Her posted numbers show a player who can hurt teams in just about every way, hitting .448 with 15 doubles, 10 home runs, 49 RBIs, 61 runs scored, and 34 stolen bases. That kind of combination of power and speed is hard to ignore. Johnson brings another impressive résumé to Baton Rouge. The Sterlington standout has already earned Team USA U-15 recognition and was also recognized by Extra Inning Softball as one of the top pitchers in her class, including a No. 2 ranking in the Southeast region. For a player that young to already be gaining that kind of national attention says plenty about her upside. Then there is Macie Cameron, who has already made a name for herself as a big-game performer. The North DeSoto right-hander helped lead her team to a state title as a freshman and later posted that she earned both District MVP and Overall MVP honors. Cameron is the type of player whose value shows up on both sides of the ball, and LSU fans are already familiar with her name after the kind of postseason run that helped spotlight her even more. Another name worth watching is Emiry Jeane, a local prospect from Youngsville whose game appears built on athleticism and pressure. Jeane’s summer numbers jump off the page: .496 batting average, .554 OBP, 1.096 OPS, 54 runs, and 23 stolen bases. She also earned recognition in 2029 class rankings, and the description of her game fits what LSU has long valued in dynamic outfielders — speed, versatility, and the ability to create offense in different ways. Ella McConnell is another visitor who gives this camp added quality. The catcher/outfielder earned Alliance Fastpitch All-Tournament recognition, which is another sign LSU will be evaluating players who are already proving themselves in strong travel-ball settings. Catchers always draw attention because of how much of the game runs through them, and McConnell adds another interesting piece to the overall camp group. Emiry Jeane, Analiese Holmes, Ansley Johnson, Macie Cameron, Ella McConnell, and Trinity Hargrett each bring something a little different, but that is what makes this visitor group so interesting. There is national ranking power, Louisiana championship pedigree, travel-ball success, speed, power, and positional versatility all mixed together. For LSU, this weekend is not just about hosting talent — it is about getting early face time with a class that already looks loaded with players who know how to stand out. #LSU #Softball
