I never get bored of seeing Chance so happy.
I called her Chance as I hoped as an older girl she might get a 2nd Chance at life after being cruelly stabbed in the stomach.
She loves her name ❤️

I try not to get angry easily, but this has me really ticked off. For years, I have had to drive into town to collect our packages. Those of you who have read #DesertPearl will read about this.
The mailman will not deliver to our house. He doesn't even attempt delivery. Instead, he leaves these infernal pink slips in our mailbox. I have to drive into town every few days just to pick up items that my wife needs.
There is a real cost to this. It hurts her business (mulberrypatchhome.com) — the same business that many of you have ordered from, teas, soaps, Lucy bracelets, etc.
Why pay taxes if we can't even get services from our local post office?
All because the mailman is friends with a neighbor who hates us.
It's not right, but they won't do anything about it. So I'm posting about it here.

A homeless man in London captured the attention of thousands, not for begging, but for the way he rocks his dog to sleep every night. When asked why, he explained that life hadn’t always been this way. “When I first got him, we had an apartment,” he said softly. “Living on the street has been a hard adjustment for him. The honking, the sirens, the people, it keeps him up. So every night, I make sure he’s asleep before I close my eyes.” #dog #wholesome #dogs #doglover

The community reached out to us about this lovely little gentle boy today. What we know so far is that he was dumped in a local temple with his brother, who sadly lost his life after being hit by a car. It meant that this gentle little sow was battling on his own, trying to survive with the big dogs and some very painful skin.
The good news is that he is in Tinas Hospital and the skin issues are very fixable, along with his bad blood and some other straightforward issues to fix. Yes he does absolutely remind me of little Rodney when he first came in. And for anybody who watches the TV show "Only Fools and Horses", that's why he's called Trigger.
The line between life and death is incredibly thin for these street dogs but little Trigger has landed on the right side of things this week. Given his young age I'm very confident he's gonna grow up into a big healthy dog with love and care that we can provide him. After the week we had it's very important to finish the week on a high. There's nothing more fulfilling than saving a little dog's life and altering his future.
Trigger will be resting up all weekend and getting his special medicines and creams and I don't think it will be long before he has a big happy smile and a waggy tail on him ❤️

This is Summer.
She's the first dog I've owned.
She's been in our house for eight hours and I honestly already feel like she's changed me for the better. I can't wait to see her grow.

I love stuff like this. This guy is just out here making dogs dreams come true. I would do this if I could afford to.

"They told me he probably wouldn't get adopted if she left without him. I went to the shelter to adopt one dog. Diesel — a young pit bull with a wiggle-your-whole-body kind of joy. I'd already pictured him in my car. Then I saw her. Daisy, curled quietly beside him, eyes only on him. When he stood, she stood. When he rested, she leaned into him like she needed his heartbeat to feel okay. A volunteer said they'd been found together on the back roads, starving, no owner ever showing up. Staff tried separating them once. Diesel cried for hours. Daisy stopped eating. They never tried again. People wanted Diesel. Nobody asked about Daisy. And "maybe we just split them up" kept coming up quietly — not because anyone wanted it, but because two pit bulls together is a hard sell. Then Diesel walked over, touched his nose to hers, and led her to me. Like he was telling her it was safe. She sat beside him and leaned in. This wasn't two dogs. It was one heart, two bodies. "If you still want Diesel, we'll start the paperwork," the volunteer said. "I need paperwork for both," I told her. She teared up. "You're serious?" They'd already chosen each other. Who was I to undo that? An hour later, we left as a family. Diesel rode proud at the window. Daisy curled against him and slept the deepest sleep — the kind that only comes when fear finally lets go. That was two years ago. Diesel still steals blankets and treats every day like the best one yet. Daisy runs the yard now, greets guests, demands belly rubs. People think Diesel protects her. Really, they protect each other. Happy Gotcha Day, Diesel and Daisy. Sometimes the best choice isn't picking one dog — it's refusing to break a bond that was never meant to be broken. ❤️

There have been multiple reports of pets being left trapped and at risk of dying after ICE abducted their owners. A woman in Texas used PAXIS.app to help rescue her neighbor’s dog when she and other neighbors could not access his apartment after he was taken.
PAXIS: If ICE takes someone and leaves their pets locked inside, do not wait for the ICE detainee locator. It may take hours or days for someone to appear, and an animal without water, medication or ventilation may not have that long.
If a trusted person has a key and prior permission to enter, get the pets to safety immediately. Photograph their condition and take their food, medication, veterinary information and proof of ownership, if available.
If nobody can legally enter, call local animal control. Explain that the owner was detained and animals are trapped inside. Request an urgent welfare check and lawful emergency access. Call 911 if a pet faces imminent danger.
If the pets enter a shelter, request a temporary protective hold, not surrender or adoption. Provide the owner’s information, any available proof of detention and a family contact. Then arrange temporary care through relatives, friends or a trusted rescue.
PAXIS helps you plan lawfully for ICE encounters and their aftermath. Help keep it free for all immigrants and allies: GoFundMe.com/PAXIS
Jake is now safe.
