You are insulting everyone's intelligence. I spoke about the £20bn / year shortfall throughout the election, over and over again. As I said, the media let you get away with it. You could tax the rich instead of slashing investment. You're making a choice.
The Tories left Britain's finances in their worst state since the Second World War.   This Labour Government will take tough decisions to deliver the long-term solutions that will make you better off.

This is just beyond moronic, I firmly believe this government have just decided to completely break the country at this point.
From today, care workers entering the UK on Health and Care Worker visas can no longer bring dependants. This is part of our plan to deliver the biggest ever cut in migration.

After careful consideration, I am confident that the single most clinically effective way to quash any potential interest in literature, reading or poetry is the GCSE English Literature syllabus. A laser-guided method for taking something joyous and making it hateful.

Been thinking about this poem a lot recently, one of my favourites and I've never fully appreciated how deeply sad it is despite its outward humour. Elizabeth Bishop does not miss.

It’s five years since I was diagnosed with an incurable blood cancer. I wrote a big piece for Saturday magazine about the worst year of my life - terror, grief, miscarriage - and how it has led to some of the happiest theguardian.com/society/2023…
