Incredibly honored to be elected as one of three councillors for North Bermondsey, and so excited to represent everyone from the Four Squares to Shad Thames alongside the wonderful @HamishMcCallum and @RachelBentleyNB

Presumably you have been in contact with the Labour party about the Labour-Green coalition that is running Lewes District Council?
I would hate for you to look like a hypocrite who is using the real issue of anti-semitism to make a party political point.
All serious parties need to stop working with the Greens after their embrace of anti-Jewish racism - my letter to Sir Ed Davey

Why should we care how many MPs are Lib Dems if what they stand for is so tepid? There's a massive absence of strong liberal voices in parliament. I've become totally disillusioned by the party that ought to be my home.

I listened to Ed Davey on the @BBCr4today this morning, and frankly, I think he missed the point.
The idea that we're keeping the triple lock to help millennials is at best for the birds, and at worst downright insulting. I say that as a millennial.
The case for the triple lock is a worthy one - stopping pensioner poverty. I want that as much as anyone. But pensioners are now less likely to be in poverty than children or working age adults.
We talk about fairness, yet our answer is to give the same increase to every pensioner, treating the one choosing between heating and eating exactly the same as the one with millions in the bank. I can see no moral or fiscal case for above inflation rises for millionaires.
That money should go where it's needed most - to everyone in poverty, not just one group. It could help fund free personal care, a policy that would disproportionately benefit older people.
Ed is right that we shouldn't pit one generation against another. But intergenerational inequality is already one of the defining injustices of our time, and this would further entrench it. Worse, it gaslights an entire generation into believing it's for our benefit.
Telling millennials we're keeping the triple lock to help us in 30 years' time is nonsense. We're on course to be the first generation worse off than our parents. We're locked out of the housing market, paying higher taxes, repaying student loans that never seem to shrink, and putting off having children because of the cost of living.
I joined this party because I care about fairness and tackling inequality, and that has to include inequality between generations.
This line, and this decision, fails on both counts. Ed needs to think again.

Something doesn't add up in Andy Burnham's speech: almost every big policy - social care, pensions, electoral reform - is slated for after the election. But delivered with all the urgency of someone already in campaign mode.
In other words: prepare for a 2027 general election.

Frankly I'm just glad we're finally having a conversation on where most welfare actually goes (spoiler alert it's not the demographics most of the media want you to think it is)

Labour have been in power in Southwark for 16 years and are now in Government. Yet somehow, everything is still the Lib Dems’ fault.
Perhaps spend less time making graphics and more time explaining the £102m funding gap you left behind!

Local government finance is a mess.
Central Gov can suddenly cut a council’s funding grants by 40%, forcing them to double local taxation so that they don’t breach their statutory duties, and everybody blames the council.
This is absolutely mental, and with the Mayor's new licencing powers incoming, one might assume this is a ploy from the Westminster Tories to have the Mayor intervene so they can position him as the bogeyman to the Soho Society nimbys
New story- vertical drinking and ordering at the bar will be discouraged in pubs in Soho and the west end under new Westminster council guidance under consultation
