This is it... My time in #Zambia comes to an end. Five remarkable years (even at the very end), full of positive experiences and encounters - though some frustrations as well. I leave full of humility and appreciation. Zambia #kuChalo! 🇩🇪 🇿🇲

Today, I signed the book of condolences for H.E. former President #Lungu, sixth Head of State of the Republic of #Zambia. I wish for this wonderful country unity and peace during this time of mourning and reflection.

My sincere condolences to the people of #Zambia. When presenting my credentials to H.E. Pres. #Lungu in 2020, I witnessed his humble demeanor which connected him with ordinary Zambians. The 2021 peaceful transition of power underlined his place in 🇿🇲 democratic traditions. MHRIP

Kick-off of #floorball in #Zambia! Kudos to Jakob, one of our 🇩🇪 #Weltwaerts volunteers, who had raised funds & organised equipment in Germany so that kids in #Zambia can play this fun, fast-paced form of floor hockey. And kudos to these talented young players!

Following 🇩🇪's elections in February, yesterday, Friedrich #Merz was sworn in as #Germany's new Chancellor. And @JoWadephul took over from Annalena #Baerbock as Federal Foreign Minister. 👇 I'm proud of the professional and collegial nature of transfers of power in Germany.

Through Cholera, COVID, and our worst drought ever, the @EUinZambia stood with Zambia. As global geopolitics shifts, we appreciate our partners more than ever. We welcome investment in energy, critical minerals & tourism, among others, to grow our economy and create jobs. HH
