Gracias Ing. Hernández por el acompañamiento.

When cultures meet across time and distance, we discover that we share the same heartbeat. The Embassies of Mexico and Ireland in Indonesia are joining to present an extraordinary event: a celebration weaving together our ancestral traditions; Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) and Samhain. Although separated by thousands of miles, both celebrations spring from the same human roots. Samhain and Día de Muertos mark the end of an cycle and a time when the veil between the world of the living and the spirit world grows thinner. In both traditions, fire, candlelight, and bonfires serve as warm beacons, guiding the souls of our ancestors back home. These are not celebrations of sorrow, but acts of collective remembrance, where mourning is transformed into art, storytelling, and a celebration of life. Bringing these traditions together in a vibrant metropolis like Jakarta carries profound symbolic meaning. 🇲🇽 and 🇮🇪 share a deep affinity in their reverence for family, the cycle of life, and the power of memory. By combining the visual craftmanship of Mexican artist Víctor Hugo Hidalgo with the rich oral storytelling tradition of Irish storyteller Colin Urwin, we offer audiences in Indonesia a unique multicultural experience celebrating the universality of the human spirit. We invite you to be part of this unforgettable encounter. …
