Here is a little demo of my app Parrot. I created this app for my son who has speech difficulties. The goal was to help him with speaking more clearly and spelling. This was my first React project. I learned a ton including falling in love with it.

I haven’t dabbled in Tailwind in forever. While spinning up a new project to get reacquainted, I discover to my delight a tailwind config is no longer required at least with vite. Setting up a theme file and just getting to styling was insanely easy. Touché @tailwindcss nice job.
What are the best tools out there to sharpen your css skills? I feel like I’ve plateaued and I miss the feeling of being surprised or learning something I didn’t know about before.

Everyday I try to at least…
1 hour coding something fun
1 hour learning
1 hour exercise
1 hour escapism (me time)
In one month you will be a new person!
Does anyone of my X friends play Pokémon TCG Pocket? My boyfriend got me addicted and I need a Wartortle if anyone wants to trade. 👀

If you don’t play…. Do so you can get a Wartortle to trade me please.
Me when I consider if I should really start a new project after not finishing my last 3 😩
I have lots of ideas ok!!!
I was a cat at a parade this weekend! I try to volunteer when I can to help support my local spay & neuter rescue.
Picked up a standing pad for at work. So far I really like it! I’ve always had trouble standing flat footed just on the floor so this is great.

Barbara Oakley’s Learning How To Learn course is probably the course I’ve had the highest return on.
In #100devs that course was one of the first steps before even beginning to code.
It’s made learning new things manageable. As a dev, you always need to be open to learning.
We’ve replaced ESLint with @biomejs at work. I’ve been enjoying it so far.
Does anyone else have any experience with using Biome as their linter? Any tips or tricks I should know?

I can not believe I’ve become the person to watch dubbed anime. But I’ve gotten to the point where I need to watch and do something else so it’s nice not having to read captions the entire time.
How is it still January?? It has seriously started feeling like this month has been going on for well, much longer than a month. 😩
Once a week my cat likes to wake me up early so we can spend some time together in the morning. Usually it’s with cat tv but sometimes she just wants to play on her cat tree.
It’s worth a groggy day especially after almost losing her over summer.
