Now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, Wisconsin is expected to see a legal battle over whether it reverts back to a law from 1849 — a near-total ban on abortion passed 71 years before women had the right to vote, @PhoebePetrovic reported.

A year ago, we didn’t know if Isthmus would ever be in print again. Our fifth paper comes out on Thursday because of support from our readers. Let’s continue that progress in 2022 so Isthmus can continue to grow and provide even more local journalism.
Just a reminder on this #GivingNewsDay that we are now a community-supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our informed, in-depth local journalism would not be possible without our members! Please consider joining them at isthmus.com/donate.
