There’s loads more in the video about what we have been doing.  Please do take a look and let me know if you have any questions or comments!  I’m still here to represent you for another 4 months.   The best way to contact me is by email: [email protected].

One thing that has bothered me a lot - is fly tipping in Orangery Lane Carpark.   3 lorry loads have been removed since Christmas, and the bins themselves are often so contaminated, the contents can’t be recycled.  We’ve therefore decided to remove the bins & remove the hotspot.

People often like to talk down our High Street – but I’m really proud of the investment the Council has made over the last decade – and continues to make.  From £21m for the cinema and restaurant complex – to beginning a new £10m investment in our leisure centre and libraries.

In the meantime -  here is a video I put together at the end of last year talking about out High Street.

Happy New Year Everyone! I have some big news to share.  I have decided not to stand again for Council in May.  I’ve loved representing Eltham Town and Avery Hill the last 3.5 years – but there are now some other projects I would like to focus on (more to come on that!)

☔️ 🎄Despite the rain - the Eltham lights are officially on! Well done to everyone involved - and everyone who braved the weather! 🎄☔️

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

🚦The Averyhill/ Footscray Road crossroads (with TFL, again!) 🗑️ Overflowing commercial waste bins and flytipping 🚗 I also put in a written question to Full Council about the traffic issues around Wyborne School If I can help with anything - do get in touch!

and that shops in Eltham High Street are being given radio links to tackle shoplifting. In terms of casework, here are some of the issues I have raised on residents’ behalf: 🏠I visited a resident in Eltham to discuss planning concerns 🏚️ Several housing repairs requests

👩‍💻Lauren’s update - October 2025👩‍💻 This month, I chaired an Overview and Scrutiny meeting, where we heard from our local Superintendent Nick Jowett and from our Parks team and Friends groups. I was particularly pleased to hear the Plumstead police counter was to remain open 1/3

Another “Music at St Mary’s” performance tomorrow night (Thursday) and this one looks fab! These performance have been supported by all three local councillors with funds from our ward budget. Please do go along if you can!

💷 Applications to the Greenwich Neighbourhood Growth Fund 🏚️Housing repairs If I can help with anything - do get in touch: [email protected]

In terms of casework, here are some of the issues I have raised on residents’ behalf: 🏠Held a councillor surgery in New Eltham to discuss planning concerns 🌳 Pruning street trees 🚗 Speeding down residential roads 👮‍♀️The need for a lollipop person at Wyborne School

👩‍💻Lauren’s update - September 2025👩‍💻 This month, Council returned and I seconded a motion relating to Council funding. I also Chaired an Overview and Scrutiny meeting, attended the Harvest Festival at St James Mar Thoma church, and ran a half marathon for the Mayor’s Charities.

Another St Mary’s music concert this Friday - supported by our ward budget. It’s totally free to attend - although donations to Macmillan are welcome!

On a personal note, we haven’t seemed to sit still as a family - visiting our relatives both back home in Middlesbrough and in France - and enjoying some trips into London and to the seaside! If I can help with anything - do get in touch: [email protected]
