I will stay here in Gaza because I want my words to do what the camera could not: I will document the eyes of people as they rush to find their place, and I will write about the last tree I took shelter under, about the last building, and about the last family who lived in that building, and about my torn tent when winter falls upon it.
Now, in these moments, the madness of this occupation has erupted, demolishing entire towers and residential blocks. People lie exhausted in the streets, not knowing where to go in the darkness of this night.

This is indeed devastating: an extremely detailed investigative journalism piece by mainstream Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant looked in minute details into 114 cases of young Palestinian children with single gunshot wounds to the head or chest.
Their conclusion? That the overwhelming evidence points to deliberate, targeted shooting of children, primarily by snipers.
