A 28mm wide keyway in a duplex sprocket? Easy enough. 👌 Using our “slotter box”, we were able to machine the keyway into this sprocket ready for its next job. The slotter box gives us the ability to machine keyways accurately without needing to overcomplicate the setup.

The right #welding process can make a big difference to how a job comes together. ⚙️ We use TIG, MIG, MMA and spot welding across steel, stainless steel and aluminium, choosing the right process for the material and the job rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

We can take an existing component or assembly, assess it and get it ready for re-manufacture. So, if a component is no longer available, there’s no need to replace an entire piece of equipment. Re-manufacturing the part can often be a quicker and more cost-effective option.

The Harrison V550 lathe is one of the bigger machines on our shop floor, with a 3m capacity between centres and enough power to take on larger, heavier turning work. It’s a real workhorse for us, particularly when we’re machining longer components, one-offs or repair parts.

New #hydraulic cylinders can be expensive & in many cases the existing one can be stripped down, repaired & put back to work. We can inspect & overhaul hydraulic rams & cylinders, identifying what’s causing the problem & replace or #manufacture components where needed.

These cross aligner shafts will be going into equipment where keeping everything properly aligned is important, so there’s not much room for things to be out of spec.👍 Machined to the required dimensions and features, they’re now ready to head off to the customer & get to work.

Lathes, presses, guillotines, bandsaws, folders & surface grinders - sometimes the smartest tool for the job isn’t the newest one. They’re ideal for one-off repairs, awkward jobs that don’t suit automation, or anything where a skilled hand can simply get the job done quicker.

Need a replacement part but don’t want to wait 4+ weeks for it? That was the problem our customer had with a blade cassette from a tyre shredding machine, so we made one! We drew it up, ordered the material and got to work on our Hurco VM20i resulting in a five-day turnaround.
