In the 80s, when I was a kid, my mum bred German shepherds.
A white woman from SAfrica came to buy puppies from her. She openly admitted that she wanted the dogs as โprotection from blacksโ (๐คฌ) and they would be trained as such.
My mum was outraged!

My lovely Charlie cat nearly died recently, thankfully we were able to bring him back to full health and now he's very grateful and doesn't leave me alone
My cat Charlie had suddenly onset kidney failure and almost died. He's back home after a few days at the vet's and I think he's very happy to be alive!
