Leopard Class were lucky enough to meet the Mayor of Grimsby today, on their visit to Grimsby Town Hall, and he said we were ‘one of the most polite schools he’s ever met’
That’s high praise! #EllistonPD

The children in KS1 attended an assembly to learn about and develop an understanding of dementia. They thought about how our brain works and what we can do to help people who find it difficult to remember things @alzheimerssoc #EllistonPD

Celebrating World Book Day 2023 and enjoying reading was the theme of the day in Puma class. We all dressed up as characters from Jack and the Beanstalk, discussed vocabulary associated with the book and acted out the story #EllistonReading #WorldBookDay2023

What a fabulous afternoon at the Year 3/4 Sportshall Athletics competition. Such a pleasure to watch the children showing amazing teamwork, great determination and thoroughly enjoying the experience. So proud!
Thankyou to Sarah Arthur MakatonTrainer. In the emerging climate where mainstream schools support more and more non verbal children it is so important we find a way to communicate effectively and ease anxiety!

After learning how to make a pop-up card in school, this young lady went home and had a go by herself. Very impressed with the outcome.

What a winter treat! Children in FS1 loved experiencing the snow falling around them and being able to help build a miniature snowman! Children were able to learn and use new vocabulary as part of their snowy experience #EllistonUTW

Lynx class took a trip to Pudding Lane this morning to experience what it would have been like when the bakery first caught fire. We imagined that we were part of the Farriner family and discussed how we would be feeling and what we would be thinking 💭 🔥⭐️

Tiger Class really enjoyed exploring the life of Emmeline Pankhurst during our famous person day. As an extension to this learning, during Mid Week Me Time, we have created suffragette banners to support her cause!

Every chat you have with your child helps them develop their social skills, so they can make friends more easily.
Here are some simple things you can try to get your child talking: nhs.uk/start4life/chatplayre…
