The Killeen ISD Athletics Department –– its athletic directors, coaches and student-athletes –– on Tuesday was recognized by the KISD Board of Trustees for being named a Texas Way District of Distinction!
KISD earned the honor in June after a yearlong, districtwide commitment to excellence on and off the field. The Texas Way is a statewide initiative developed by the Texas High School Coaches Association, the Texas High School Coaches Association and 2Words Character Development. The campaign focuses on three core pillars: respect for others, control of self and the spirit of competition.

A memorable season for the Ellison volleyball team (@Ellison_VBall) comes to a close in the 5A-II area round. The Lady Eagles persevered through the regular season, survived a winner-take-all play-in match to keep a long playoff streak alive and then won a bi-district title for the first time since 1985! Huge congrats to Coach Givens and players!!! #WeAreKISD
