Fun fact: nearly every person in Denmark 🇩🇰 has the name of their GP (or group of GPs) on their healthcard It's an organized system where 98+% have access to primary care. How do they do it? One key lies in how GPs are organized. 🧵 (photos of Christian Folsach's practice)

If it’s not documented, it’s not tracked. 😩❤️ Wondering if I should start leaving this in my own notes.
I am having to add “lack of access to primary care” as a medical problem on discharge for more and more complex patients. This worsens patient outcomes and ends up costing you a lot more in tax dollars in the long run.

Measles is highly contagious. 9 in 10 people who are around a person with measles will become infected if they are not protected by the vaccine. The best protection against measles is getting vaccinated.

Happy #DoctorsDay to all the dedicated physicians. Family doctors deliver 52% of medical services but account for just 5.7% of national health spending. Your tireless efforts and expertise are essential to keeping Canadians healthy. ow.ly/7Xtt50Rtqst #NationalPhysiciansDay

The OurCare Standards are a way for every person to assess whether they are receiving the primary care they deserve and whether the primary care in their province measures up We hope it sets direction for policy-making and is a framework through which we can evaluate reforms
