Hello staff @sheffielduni. There is still time to fill in the latest staff survey. It's not seen a lot of take up so far (🤔) and the deadline has been extended 👍. You might like to consider the following from @sheffielducu as you fill it in.

New archeological discovery in the central Mexican state of #Puebla.

One of the best pieces of advice I was ever given was to keep a note of these funny / special moments. If anyone can help @nmdacosta find her case - and especially her journal - please contact her directly. #LostProperty
A long shot...Last Wednesday, I left a small grey hardshell suitcase on a train from London St Pancras to Cambridge between 5-6pm The thing in it I'm most upset about losing is a five-year journal in which I've recorded moments with my daughter (now 7) that have made me laugh or smile, and how she's changed. I like to read them back to her so she knows how precious she is. Nothing has turned up through the train companies' lost property systems yet, and I know that may take a while, but I don't want to leave a stone unturned. Any bright ideas? Know this is a long shot. @TLRailUK @GNRailUK

Today, Baroness Campbell of Surbiton delivered a speech in the @UKHouseofLords using an AI recreation of her voice, built by ElevenLabs. A first for the UK Parliament. Baroness Campbell has spinal muscular atrophy, which affects her speech. The Baroness has now created an AI voice that replicates the tone, rhythm, and pitch of her original voice. Our technology has now been used to restore the voices of more than 11,000 people who have lost their voices through injury or illness, and we’ve committed to help one million people living with voice loss around the world.

Making #politics @UKHouseofLords more accessible, step by step (or roll by roll).
Wonderful to hear Baroness Campbell's AI-created voice @UKHouseofLords for the first time; a first for @UKParliament & among the first in any legislature worldwide. More than a tech milestone, it's very much HER voice, a powerful one for a leading disability rights campaigner📣

If people advertised their hotels/ B&Bs had an in house hound, it would go straight to the top of my wish list. Note to #Hospitality folks - a detailed description & photos of your accessible room wouldn’t go a miss either). #Books #Dogs #Accessibility
Just leaving Wigtown Book Festival, which was an absolute banger — amazing events, hospitality, & general vibe of warmth &happiness. Skye, the greyhound at Hillcrest B & B was a bonus breakfast companion. Fellow authors & readers: this is a festival you *really* want to be at.
