Returned to my boyhood last night with Winnie-the-Pooh and the Blustery Day. Not exactly the Pooh of Milne, but fine stuff nonetheless. Disney himself came up with putting the book/text into the animation and it really works. Great voice acting; charming songs. Love this short.

Looking up songwriter credits on IMDB because I know I added them myself years ago 😄

This is a marketing technique I can work with.
Buy my art because I need to eat an obscene amount of dark chocolate every day and who's gonna pay for that??

My very unscientific but firmly held opinion is that Gladbach's play would improve if Sander, Scally, Neuhaus, and Bolin all got their hair cut. #BMGTSG

I watched a show about notable English country estates last year, and I thought Chartwell looked like the most homey and liveable.

I think this is GEORGE WASHINGTON SLEPT HERE turned into a suspense novel. 🤣
Inexplicable patterns in the gravel drive. Terrors. Water stains.

Four episodes of POIROT with satisfyingly foggy, frosty, or rainy autumnal atmosphere: • “The Mystery of Hunter’s Lodge” • “The Kidnapped Prime Minister” • “The Tragedy at Marsdon Manor” • “The Cornish Mystery”

Was just wondering the other day (while eating oatmeal) where most of the USA's oat crops used to be grown.
Staggering chart that gets even more stark after you consider productivity gains. Since 1950 the US has lost 97% of its oat acres.

I read the libretto before ever seeing it performed, and I think that's the way to go if you're not familiar with operetta—I'd probably never have caught all the words and all the jokes just by listening the first time.
My dad came by to watch the shop for a bit while I took my daughter to ballet and when I came back he was reading this, and told me he’d never been one for opera but boy was Pirates of Penzance a good story🥹

So I had to try an all-classics version, with one book per author, but even then I’m not completely satisfied. I wanted about four Austens, three Dickens, and at least that many by Trollope, and still to have Middlemarch and Wives and Daughters on there.
Picking nine books of any kind is hard. Without some kind of parameters, it’s nigh on impossible. So these are all fiction, very personal choices, and don’t even include my favorite classics.

Important because if you use a bit of Ai clipart in a graphic without realizing, Instagram and other platforms will mark the whole thing as "made with Ai." A lot of Ai stuff has a recognizable "look," but not always, so you have to double-check the artist/source just to be sure.
Writers beware: I learned Canva has apparently flooded its images with AI. If you click on the ... it will tell you where the image came from
