I’m really proud to share the new version of @NewsAssistAI AI with you. I’ve been busy over the past few weeks developing and upgrading the platform.
This version is a specialised AI workflow designed specifically for journalists and newsrooms, academics and researchers, and legal practitioners. As always, your information is fully secure.
I redesigned NewsAssist AI based on the extensive feedback we received from our users, especially professionals in the legal, media, and academic sectors.
Check out our new website and the different tools available to support you and, hopefully, even your loved ones 👉 newsassist.io/

I am just so proud of the impact we are making in Nigeria. We are building and strengthening participants' technology skills, and our cybersecurity expert, Dr. Stella Whyte from Rivers State University, delivered a truly mind-blowing session. She taught participants how to identify deepfakes and AI-generated images. I personally found this very useful because we are living in an era where deepfakes and AI-generated content are often seen as authentic. This knowledge will help participants in their 30x30 marine conservation reporting.
Thank you, Chikezie Omeje, Africa Editor at The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project Your insights have helped participants identify better ways to pitch and tell stories.
Thank you, Earth Journalism Network. You made this possible.
Today’s 2030 training focused on sharpening participants' technology skills, including cybersecurity for investigating and reporting on 30x30 marine conservation issues.
The first trainer was our Managing Editor @ElfredahKevin who taught participants how to use AI to ....

Today, I trained staff at the News Agency of Nigeria, Lagos newsroom, on building an AI-savvy newsroom.
Last year, when the management was looking to build the capacity of its staff to ensure they are abreast of AI technology to enhance their work, while also keeping in mind the ethics and challenges of AI, Christiana Fadare recommended @JournoTECHworld and reached out. I said, “Oh yes, that’s part of the work we do at JournoTECH.”
So today, I taught them several ways and tools to improve their wire services reporting with speed and accuracy while reducing the burnout journalists face in our daily reporting.
Thank you, Christiana, for recommending us, and thank you to the management for thinking about building the capacity of the staff.
I am glad that Prof. Lizzie Coles-Kemp, head of information security department at the Royal Holloway, University of London will be one of our trainers for JournoTECH upcoming AI training for legal professionals.
She has a long track record of working with UK government departments of Science, innovation, and technology as well as the UK’s National cybersecurity Centre.
We are really looking forward to have another impactful training next week.
There’s still time to apply for JournoTECH AI training for legal professionals.

I just took my 10minutes:34 secs to watch this video that @GJarrosson posted and I tell you it’s another motivation for me to keep building @NewsAssistAI till I get into @ycombinator and or any other bigger accelerator program because it’s not about the money but the network and open doors.
My best quote from the video: “The companies that win are not always the one that get the best ideas. They are the one that get the right support at the right time”
Airbnb… Stripe… Dropbox…
The world’s best startups all used the same shortcut: ACCELERATORS
Every founder thinks raising VC is about the pitch. But it’s actually about where you start.
Accelerators quietly 10× your odds of getting funded, and most founders have no idea how big the gap really is.
If you’re building anything meaningful, you need to understand why accelerators work, and how they stack the deck for founders.
This video lays it out in simple, tactical terms.

For the past few weeks, I have been working hard to bring the best features for @NewsAssistAI.
We are upgrading!
Stay tuned!
I am really proud of what we have done at @JournoTECHworld ! Last week we impacted more educators and researchers from different countries and disciplines such as computer science, media and communications, law among others and we had professors, heads of departments, senior lecturers, academics researchers(PhD students) who attended our two days “Responsible AI training for educators and researchers”
Many thanks to Wendy Amexo MBCS, Rebecca Bird for facilitating this training.
It was truly impactful and participants were excited about the impact of our training.
Many thanks to SPRITE+ for funding this training
Yesterday, we concluded our 2-day Responsible AI training for educators and researchers, and the experience was truly inspiring.
Participants were also the first to see a live demo of the upcoming specialised version of @NewsAssistAI designed for educators and researchers.....
As someone who has experienced gunshot attack in the church when I was a child, I can tell the trauma these people are going through. It’s over 20years now, I haven’t forgotten.
I just can’t imagine the pain and the fear these people are going through.
It’s truly sad that our Government and some people are downplaying security issues especially when it comes to the lives of Christians.
