For the record we've gone through multiple "extinction level events" with Elephas over the last 3.5 years First time someone told us that your business will be "wiped out in a few months" was when ChatGPT was launched (Yes we're older than ChatGPT) Then when ChatGPT launched its Mac app Then when a bunch of copy cats came out (and crashed and burned within months) Then Claude Then when Claude Projects was launched Then when NotebookLM came out And every year when Apple makes any announcement about Siri or AI.. Or every month when a new and shiny AI assistant is announced (with lots of VC funding) Or every week when someone's weekend project goes viral on X (but they never do anything with it) Our just last week when Claude Cowork was launched But the funny thing is that all of this has only expanded our market, and increased awareness about the problems we're trying to solve for our users.. Led to more customers and revenue for us.. Sure we have our own challenges, and we're working on them.. We have pivoted often based on user feedback and the market movement.. We put a lot of care in our product and its positioning.. We're not perfect, nowhere close... We may have limited resources, but we're feisty and resilient.. we're not going anywhere.. And for the 100th time... we will NOT GET WIPED OUT IN A FEW MONTHS FUCK OFF 😡

I got featured on @starter_story today This is a full circle moment for me.. I've watched almost all of their videos Read all their case studies and articles over the years I've learned a lot from their own growth strategies @thepatwalls reddit playbook is legendary.. I remember, at one point there was a petition in one of the subreddits to ban him from posting 🤣 Learned a lot about reddit from him.. My first brush with SEO was actually Pat's Lean SEO course a few years back.. It took me a while to get there, but eventually I was able to learn and apply SEO to grow @ElephasApp I honestly never thought that I would be featured on the channel, I thought it was for people much more accomplished than me. I thought it was for the masters, while I am just a student. I just wanted to build my small business from a remote corner of the world without getting anyone's attention.. Build useful products with @KambanTheMaker and our little team, serve our customers with integrity and honesty, and create a small independent business we would be proud of.. We are doing this more for the fulfilment than for the recognition.. Still, recognition feels special ❤️ Never thought I would see my own face on this thumbnail one day.. its humbling and gratifying.. Grateful for everything Thank you universe 🙏

Using Claude Opus 4.5 to analyze our last 3 months support tickets for @ElephasApp On the face 500+ tickets feels a lot. But 40% are marketing/sales emails - guest posts, link exchanges etc. around 300 real product issues/feature requests.. That's around 3-4 support requests per day.. Lots of customer insights in here.. time to play Product Manager 😅

Last weekend: First company offsite with the @ElephasApp team + families Ordinary people, doing extraordinary things. Building software for thousands of users from 80+ countries across the world. Working from 3 remote corners of India. - 3 Years+ in the market - 100% Independent - 100% Funded by our customers not by any investors.. This is just the beginning. LFG 🚀

This is an interesting take. For @ElephasApp we have always had an LTD plan. And many customers end up buying it after using the product for 1 or 2 months. We have continuously raised prices of all plans - subscription as well as LTD And our LTD revenue has only gone up over time even at higher prices.. LTD sales help us boost cashflow, reinvest in marketing, hire better, offer bonuses to employees. Contributing to the long term growth of the business. And since we're a Mac only app, so we don't have too many recurring costs. So we can offer LTDs in an affordable manner. I think if your LTD price > CLTV then you can technically can offer an LTD easily. If a customer is going to churn away in 7 months, then an LTD is just collecting the 7 months cash upfront in one go. Its the same money delivered at a different pace.. shouldn't make a difference.. Subscription fatigue is a real thing these day.. Customers don't want to worry about future payments. They just want to "pay once and forget about it" I myself think like that when buying software for my business. I think new monetization models will need to evolve as this trend grows..

Quite proud of @ElephasApp In a bit less than 3 years since launch, crossed 10,000 customers from across the world 100% bootsrapped, profitable and sustainable Built by a small, tight knit team of 6 people in a remote corner of India. All of us - doing what we love, on our terms, in our own style. When I quit my job I thought I wanted to be a solopreneur - I hated the corporate world so much I just didn't want to work with any other human.. It took me a while to warm up to the idea of working with other people, partnering up with @KambanTheMaker and gradually start hiring employees as the business grew. What I feel now is that a lean team that can move fast is so much more powerful - not large corporates, and even not trying to do everything solo. No loneliness, no burn outs, and definitely no office politics. Only honest work, with honest people you enjoy working with. Onwards and upwards 🚀
