A couple weeks ago, I had an illumination that the human body mirrors the shape of the universe. It’s infinite, and its spaces are interconnected, much like the clusters within our organs, vessels, our brain, our feet; and that the lowest level of the universe is somehow like the bottom of the sole of our foot.
It’s incredibly hard to articulate, and words don’t do it justice, but the human body is truly special. The universe inside and outside of us seems to mirror it all, layer after layer.
Keep your body neat. Keep it clean. Respect it. Speak kind words to it. It’s your world, at a level we can’t truly fathom, because human language and the human brain are configured to be limited. It’s part of the program. It’s not a bug; it’s just purposeful feature.

This is the Lorelei fountain, which if you’re in NYC you can go see in the Bronx. It has a back story that illuminates the struggle for an American identity we are talking about today. The Empress of Austria originally commissioned the work - carved out of white marble - and intended it as a gift to Düsseldorf, the native city of Heinrich Heine - famous German/Jewish poet. Düsseldorf didn’t want it - some antisemitic sentiment was in the air. But the German community in NYC gave it a home.
It has no connection whatsoever to the Dutch founding of New Amsterdam, or the British city of New York, or anything distinctly American at all. But the German community in NYC at the end of the 19th century was huge - and so now you have a statue celebrating a German language poet about a German myth about mermaids in the Rhein river sitting in the Bronx.

A French mother went on CNews to speak about the Pope’s visit but I want to breakdown the effortless style of the Parisian.
-Natural hair, healthy, thick. Simple style.
-Minimal makeup. She looks like she isn’t wearing any except lipstick.
-Natural nails. Groomed, clipped close. Either no polish or a minimal polish.
-Simple beige sweater, most likely cashmere (natural fibers), silk scarf for some gentle contrast and color.
-Gold earrings. Large but not flashy.
-Simple wedding band, not huge.
