I’m no more vulnerable, inspirational or brave than anyone else...and while we’re at it, I don’t suffer from health conditions either

@virginmedia I've spent an hour and a half on the phone to you today, then I got cut off. They rang me back but apparently couldnt hear me. they didn't try again. I was passed to different depts, then passed back again to the original dept. My problem wasn't resolved. Just awful

@sainsburys I’ve been waiting over 2 months for a reply from your customer care dept. On 8 Sep I was told that you would provide me with a comprehensive response to the issues I raised. I’m still waiting.

@EastMidRailway I went into Sheffield station today to buy a ticket. I asked if I could do London Paddington to St Pancras by overground train - was told no, had to be underground. This is incorrect, as I was later told by your assistance team 1/

@EastMidRailway I also asked for cheapest any time ticket from St P to Sheffield in the evening (7pm onwards) and was told there were other tickets but they had limitations so was sold an ordinary anytime ticket. Was told by assistance this was also incorrect. 2/

Me & many other disabled people @TheNotDeadYetUK have been making this #noise & opposing the legalisation of assisted suicide for years And until our voice, our concerns, our fears have truly been heard, we will keep making the noise & I'll keep posting: bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0…
Amidst the noise in the debate around choice at the end of life, it is the voices of brave people like @JamestheTJ & Pat Malone that need to be heard. Pat’s evidence to the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill Committee demonstrates exactly why the law needs to change.

Since 1997 there have been no less than 25 commissions, select committee inquiries & white papers on social care. Labour - who admit social care is in crisis, & that the NHS cannot be fixed without it - just responded by... ... announcing the 26th one 😳

I’ve had “Christmas messages” from orgs I do work for. All of them have been pretty shit except this one: “For those who don’t celebrate Christmas, or who find this time of year hard, I hope that you find some peace and respite during this holiday period.” Why is this so hard?!

All too true…
Mental health professional: ‘trust takes about two or three months to establish’. Patients: ‘trust takes years and years and even then is partial cos look at your form’

Just a reminder re benefits and the budget: 1. NOTHING HAS CHANGED with your benefits 2. The only thing that will change soon = a 1.7% rise 3. Big things like the snooping law + WCA changes have to get through parliament, the lords and judicial reviews 4. Worse case = early '26

Clinicians: the NHS needs money, and staff. Labour: how about job coaches? Clinicians: nope. Money, and staff. Labour: smart watches? Clinicians: please listen, money and staff. Labour: more private health contacts? 🤦

@EastMidRailway I overheard the ticket inspector telling a woman with a buggy that there was plenty of room in the wheelchair space, if she wanted to put her buggy there. (Thankfully she declined).
