It might not be in @MineralCup but it could be in the #EleCup22
Got any fun nitrogen facts that could make this element the winner ?_?
Elements not in #MinCup2021 - #nitrogen
This might be something of a surprise - after all, 78% of each breath is N2 gas, and nitrogen is an essential element for all life on Earth.
However, many nitrogen minerals are ephemeral. Let's take a look!

We made this mistake without a teething newborn.
We know we've been quiet (it's the off season afterall!) but we encourage all our followers to check out this years @MineralCup which starts today!!!!!
Learn lots about cool #minerals, and maybe share some facts about the #elements that make them!
#MinCup2021 #RealTimeChem
It’s that most beautiful time of the year! A mix of 32 minerals (& groups!) from common to esoteric are competing, each with unique reasons to love it above all others.
But only one mineral can be crowned champion.
#MinCup2021 daily votes start September 1st.

If you enjoyed #EleCup21 consider following and participating in @MineralCup, the cup we are based on!
They are updating their rules so maybe jump in an vote on which rules should stay, go, or be edited.
It’s time to update our rules for #MinCup2021!
We’ll vote on keeping, editing or discarding last year’s rule changes now that we’ve experienced what they’re like during #MinCup2020.
Do you have requests or suggestions for what we should do differently this year?

Was it our filming? We thought we did a good job on a short timeframe with a low budget 🥺
Replying to @Cat_Crotty @Anthony_Lanati
Can confirm. We did NOT have the budget for that!
Only time will tell but we hope this cup will run for long enough that all elements get their own moment in the sun. Even technetium with its short half-life and ultra specific formation conditions...
Please consider filling this out so we can get to know our audience!

Thanks to everyone who has voted in the polls to help make a better cup for next year! A final poll (in two parts, so we have 8 options). We would love to see how the distribution of backgrounds has changed since the beginning of the cup.

One can never start advocating for an element too early! Weekend breaks in rounds could be prime time for revving up for the next bracket
Admins are having a cracking day. I copied too much of the question.
The yes or no option relates SPECIFICALLY to "Do you think that the cup should run on weekends?"
Apologies. We are a bit too relaxed after our break. Might need more naps
Apologies, typo killed this one. To clarify: The yes or no option relates to "Do you think that the cup should run on weekends, or should it be kept to weekdays only?"
Typo: If you think it SHOULDN'T be run on weekends, do you want less matches, or the same number of matches?

This was done somewhat on purpose. We were trying to keep a representative 'sampling' across the groups. We also were trying to keep our own preferences from biasing the distribution of the cup. We do hope that they will all become involved in a cup at some point though.

We did a daily reveal of elements in the run up to the cup, which allowed people to interact and hype up their favourite elements. We felt that it was relatively successful with quite a bit of interaction. Is this what you were thinking of?
