Electrical foreman here. I’ve been messing with AI after work to build a side hustle. Biggest lesson so far: asking it to “write me a proposal” gets you the same junk everybody else sends. 3 prompts that work better 🧵
On a job site, nobody does extra work without a change order. Took me a minute to realize freelancing needs the same thing.
The client wants extra work: [REQUEST]. Reply warmly and quote it as an add-on for [PRICE].”
Basically a change order with nicer manners.
I put 10 prompts like these in a free sample: porterbake.gumroad.com/l/uls…
The full kit has 60 prompts plus 5 workflows if it’s useful.
Running a crew taught me work doesn’t come from a truck wrap. It comes from showing up and asking.
Freelancing’s the same. Your first client won’t come from a perfect logo. It’s 5 specific pitches a day for 2 weeks.
Free prompts to write them: porterbake.gumroad.com/l/uls…
Foreman brain applied to freelancing: you don’t wire a building all at once, you go room by room. Here’s the order I’d follow with AI to land a first client in 14 days 🧵
No magic, just reps. I put the prompts for every step in a free 10-prompt sample: porterbake.gumroad.com/l/uls…
Every job I run gets a weekly look-ahead. Figured my side hustle should too.
I paste my numbers into AI and ask for 3 insights, 1 thing to stop, 1 to start, and my top 3 for next week.
That prompt’s free in my sample: porterbake.gumroad.com/l/uls…
I put 60 of these plus 5 step-by-step workflows into a kit. The 10-prompt sample is free, no catch: porterbake.gumroad.com/l/uls…
Offer builder: “Turn my service into: I help [WHO] get [RESULT] in [TIMEFRAME] without [PAIN]. Give 7 versions and mark the most believable one for a beginner.”
Cold DM: “Write 5 messages under 60 words to [PROSPECT] that mention [SOMETHING I NOTICED], offer one concrete idea, and end with a low-pressure question.” It’s like a jobsite: show up with a plan, not a sales pitch.
