Odisha Govt announced 2 new World Skill Centers in Berhampur & Sambalpur, besides the existing one in BBSR, in previous Budget. Admissions are now happening for the BBSR/Sambalpur centers for the 2026-27 yr, while there is no mention of Berhampur campus. Ganjam betrayed again.

There is a clear pattern in Odisha's attempts to ignore Berhampur and the Kalinga Region. The reactions are already there on the ground. Starting from common people to the lethargic elected leaders, they are all agitated. South Odisha is moving in the southern direction.
Delh/NCR's industrial zones like Okhla/Ghaziabad later became a curse for the city & now Odisha is doing mindless industrialization in the capital - a planned city that may see migrants & real-estate sharks create the chaos while the rest of the state remains starved of industry.
