<3 I aspire to be like these seeds; "an unusual, versatile, and beneficial little weirdo” <3
(Also they look like the seed/beads mom used to bring back from Haiti ~ I wonder if they're the same plant?) xitter.cf/rareseeds/status/93811…
AND you can use those seeds for beads with jewelry!

Jesus fucking wept.
The Colorado shooter’s dad on finding out his son murdered people: “They started telling me about the incident, a shooting... And then I go on to find out it’s a gay bar. I got scared, ‘Shit, is he gay?’ And he’s not gay, so I said, phew… I am a conservative Republican.” (@CBS8)

Minnesota cops said they cannot accept a potential ban on white supremacist affiliation in POST certified officer ranks, cuz it will hurt recruitment. Please let that sink into your every consideration of each and every city/police budget conversation.
Now would be an interesting time for someone (with ethics & a soul) (not musk) to buy LJ, update it a bit, (keeping the dates archive function!) de-clunkify ad integration and (shoppable) video, and see how fast it pulled ppl from both Twitter and Faceborg.
Pretty fast, I bet.

We have a responsibility to protect our democracy. That includes holding those in power who violate the law accountable.
Without it, rule of law can slip through our hands like sand through loose fingers.
.@AOC says Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Thomas committed impeachable offenses, " I believe lying under oath is an impeachable offense and violating federal law and not disclosing income from political organizations as Clarence Thomas did is also potentially an impeachable offense."

Unfortunately powerful people are already trying to rehabilitate police and give them even more money, so we need to say, again, that what happened in Uvalde wasn't police failing. It was the outcome of us relying on cops to keep us safe when that is not their purpose. 🧵

So let me get this straight- one leak from the SCOTUS and the marshal is called in to investigate by Chief Justice Roberts but a sitting justice's wife literally plotted to overthrow the government and no investigation? Interesting.

CONTENT WARNING (sexual assault): ABORTION: When I was 21, I was drugged and raped violently in the military. When I tried to report it, I was told I’d be dishonorably discharged for filing a false report and court martialed for adultery because my rapist was married 1/
We need UBI and Universal Healthcare. It’s obscene, unjust, and fiscally irresponsible that we don’t at the very *least* have Universal Healthcare. Like almost every other “developed” nation.

Clarence Thomas should resign.
If not, his failure to disclose income from right-wing organizations, recuse himself from matters involving his wife, and his vote to block the Jan 6th commission from key information must be investigated and could serve as grounds for impeachment.

My 14yo and I are sitting out on the deck doing our homework (writers always have homework, I tell him), but I make sure this video *just happens to be playing* when we get started.
He overhears it and gets curious. “Is she crying?” he asks. 1/

8 years ago I was well equipped for Mad Tea Science with a dear one during a blizzard sleepover. ❄️💙❄️💙
Most of my mugs & accoutrements were given away when I left the farm, but I’m realizing having enough @AdagioTeas samples to do Mad Tea Science is an actual resilience factor
