Wow! The results are in. Inside Dom 3 today, within the Albion, NE tornado we measured a 53.23mb pressure drop and recovery over 1 minute, the core of which was over only 15 seconds, including a 23mb pressure change over 3/4 second! @ReedTimmerAccu @TwistedChasers @ElbingProf @Freedom22BB

Are you a student? Do you want to fly your experiment 35 km in the sky on a NASA balloon?? The 2022 HASP call for proposals has been released: laspace.lsu.edu/hasp/Partici… See link for details. This is how I got my start in balloon infrasound!
Venus has been significantly less studied than Mars, reports Chris Wright for @WIRED. Scientists in an #AGUpubs study tested whether a 🎈 balloon-borne sensor could listen for venusquakes to learn about the planet's makeup. #AGUintheNews wired.com/story/scientists-c…

Well, its time to review 2020. I set 41 broad goals for myself, professionally, this year. I accomplished 25, 7 are in-progress, and missed 9. Also had 7 additional big outcomes that I did not plan on. Overall, I'm proud. One big win was starting cibs.okstate.edu

New video! An adaptation of a post by @ncasenmare on contact tracing and privacy protection. It's highly counterintuitive that you can do this without tracking people's locations. youtu.be/D__UaR5MQao
