After beta reading today, I've come on here to say, strong, descriptive verbs are our friends. Why say "looked through the house" when "peeked in each corner," "searched the room," or even "scoured every inch of the floor," gives a better description?
This isn't self-righteous grandstanding, but a friendly and humbling reminder (to me and others who might need the nudge) that we as writers control the narrative. #indieauthor
