Woke up this morning still haunted by hearing this episode of @cbcideas. All of these doctors who have held Palestinian children until they died, knowing they died when these sweet babies let go of the doctors' shirts; while none of our elected officials have done anything material to stop the genocide even after 3 years, in fact, they still enable it.
And thinking of my dear friend, Dr. Ben Thomson, whose advocacy has been so important to open the eyes of many of us. His colleague and friend, nephrolosit, Dr. Hammam Alloh was murdered by Israel in November 2023, because he was a Palestinian doctor who dared to stay at Al Shifa Hospital to care for his patients, and he dared to speak to the world about Israel's crimes.
I can only imagine the heartbreak to hear Hammam's voice alongside yours in this episode, while the genocide rages on.

Two Palestinian Christian women, Maysaa Khader Ibrahim Abu Daoud (Ayad) and Marie Hafez Michel Al-Najjar (Abu Daoud), were murdered today, October 3, in an Israeli strike on their apartment in Gaza City.
They belonged to Gaza’s Holy Family Parish.
Two more lives lost. Two more Palestinian Christian families left grieving. Two more names the world must not forget.
May they rest in the embrace of Christ, and may God receive them in His mercy.
Do not look away. Do not let their deaths become another forgotten statistic. Say their names. Remember their faces. Demand protection for civilians. Demand accountability. Demand an end to the killing.

For more than two months, I have been working on a truly horrific story about one of the gravest war crimes committed by the United States since Vietnam: The bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, Iran. It was one of the first targets struck in the opening hours of the war on February 28, 2026.
At least 156 people were killed in the U.S. cruise missile strikes—120 of them were children and 26 were teachers. We spoke to survivors, first responders, parents, doctors, teachers, psychologists, and other witnesses. Some of them had never before shared their experiences of that day.
It would be impossible to do justice to what happened in Minab that day with words alone. In more than 25 years in journalism and reporting on war, I do not believe I have reported on a more heinous single crime.
