Had a great meeting this morning with the @fhsCJca students to talk about our Cadet program, other opportunities available at the KPD and our desire to get more people from our community to join the KPD. Fulton High’s staff has built a truly exceptional criminal justice program.

Hosting a watch party for AP Gov students on in a chat room. Ready to hear the students observations from political scientist perspectives on the debate.
Getting ready to do a little review session for AP Gov Unit 1 test on Thursday! One of the advantages of all these new tech tools is running a review at a time students asked for.
I have never used textbooks but I wonder if that’s the answer heading into an uncertain year. Going to work with the AP gov text book to develop the pacing guide. I’ll still have an online element but the text maybe the backbone of content for the course. Anyone have other ideas?
I love Matt Painter! Some context here: Purdue’s two rising seniors unexpectedly transferred without discussing it with him. His quote here applies to young people in general. You got to work to be great. Just because you want it doesn’t mean it will happen. You have to work!

"Embrace problems and embrace adversity and fight it. Don't run from it."

An overdue shout-out to yesterday's astonishing 300K #APGoPo students who showed up to write argumentative essays and analyze concepts on this year's exam. Their success is a real testament to their own persistence and their teachers' belief in them.
I have started a quarantine tradition of smoking meats on Tuesday’s. Tonight’s pork just finished and looks great!
Peregrine social on zoom! Tag those I missed. I got the best shot of everyone possible. @MsCallahan12 @Mrs___Roberts @MrWalker_Fulton @jordanshipley17 @chrisottinger1
Watching @cspanwj for the AP Gov review and one of the students is cues up to get on to talk to them!
16 AP Gov students showing up for a three hour practice test on a Saturday morning is really amazon. Our students want success and are willing to sacrifice for it!
I accepted a challenge from @BHS_Myers to post covers of 7 books I love: no explanations just the cover. Each time I post a cover I’ll ask someone else to take up the challenge. 1 cover a day for a week. Day 2 and 3 (forgot yesterday). I challenge @MsCallahan12 @MsBruceFulton.
I forgot to post this earlier this week. Before a big project was due in AP Seminar a group huddled up to give each other a pep talk. I love our students determination to succeed!
