ALERT: Undercover pedophile sting led to the arrest of a man backstage at Disney World.
Michael Byrne, 37, was allegedly connected to a Snapchat account called “madmax17245,” that messeged an undercover deputy that was pretending to be a 13-year-old-boy.
Byrne allegedly sent the deputy an explicit image and 3 videos and asked the deputy, pretending to be the teen, for pictures in return.
The deputy got Byrne to meet up with the pretend boy, and Byrne was arrested backstage in the Epcot lot.
Disney says Byrne is not an employee and is unsure how he gained access to that part of the property.
Byrne was charged with solicitation of a minor via computer, transmission of harmful material to minors, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
