Hey everyone!
A couple of quick things, while we originally planned on doing a giveaway on N7 Day, some personal things came up and made it difficult for us to justify puttinf the money into it. Don't worry we're good financially, we're just needing to ease off a few things.
Second, we will have a new episode coming out later this week! We're going to deep dive two things, the first is going over the financials of what is going on with EA and speculating what really caused them to shutter Bioware, and the second is addressing the copy pastas going around about why 2 & 3 are "bad".
Finally, I wanted to thank everyone for the listens, follows, and interactions its great seeing the #SaveMassEffect movement going full force as it is!

Im going to echo this. The actions EA has taken in the last week and a half still tell me they're shopping the @masseffect IP. No proof yet, but my gut says this is a move to garner interest for at the very least Mass Effect if not Dragon Age and OTHER IPs.
The mission to #SaveMassEffect isn't over. Our goal needs to be finding an option for someone to purchase the IPs from EA. Nothing has changed with the news about Battlefront 3.
So...it was the Saudi Arabian buy out, because the buy out resulted in EA being saddled with a massive debt on the balance sheet because they accepted a leveraged buy out. What's going to end up happening is they sell off things like Madden & Battlefield and pocket the cash while they close down things that go against their agenda. Folks, this isn't a "Star Wars killed Mass Effect" issue, it's greed. It's a similar strategy to what Golden Gate Capital did to Darden Restaurants. It's the exact same thing. EA likely won't exist in a decade.
NEW: Why did EA shut down BioWare? Twitter thinks the studio failed because it was too woke. BlueSky thinks Saudi Arabia killed the studio for being too gay.
