In Parliament on Monday, I wrongly gave the impression that I support the use of military force against Israel.
Those are not my views, and I apologise unreservedly. I do not support military action anywhere in the Middle East and have long been a campaigner for peace and conflict resolution.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Tahir Ali explicitly called for military action against Israel in Parliament, stating "Is it not about time that military action was taken against Israel as well?" after advocating its disarmament.

Reeves was indeed never the British Girls' Under 14 Champion as she claimed. She won a different tournament with a similar name – rather like confusing the Championship with the Champions League in football. See alexedmans.com/was-rachel-re… for the facts.
She also breaks a very basic rule at 0:27 by moving with one hand and pressing the clock with the other. The laws require the same hand for both, to ensure you've completed your move before starting your opponent's clock.
A Chancellor should be judged primarily on her policies, not her chess. But whether to raise taxes, increase welfare, or cut defence is subjective. Whether you were British champion or follow the rules is objective. If you misrepresent the facts and ignore the rules in small things, it inevitably affects trust in the larger things.

Feels like we’re on course for a very right-wing government - with zero mandate from the public.
Quite dangerous, if you ask me.

Rishi Sunak has been crowned by Tory MPs. It’s a coronation not an election.
All without saying a single word about what he’d do as Prime Minister to address this Tory crisis. He has no mandate and the British people have had no say. #GeneralElectionNow

Judge Sandy Kemp and the Judicial Office need to explain exactly how this bogus quote made its way into the ruling. Misrepresentations of the Forstater ruling are commonplace in the trans activist community, but for this to turn up in an actual court ruling is truly shocking.
