Congrats to Rex Edwards on committing to @SacStBaseball out of the Transfer Portal Showcase! ✍️
@Edwards17Rex averaged 90.6 mph (T92.0) on his fastball while flashing a cut/ride profile.
He's looking for his first competitive innings in college after a redshirt freshman year at Cal. 💪

This Redshirt Freshman just went from upper 80s to low 90s. 💪
@Edwards17Rex came to Tread topping 91 all-time, but sitting mid-upper 80s in his bullpens.
We started by getting him back into constraint long toss and letting him do things he genuinely enjoyed. Velo climbed from mid-upper 88s to touching 90, then 91 while at Cal this spring.
Once the velocity was trending, he came in-house early for pitch design and output work leading into the Transfer Portal Showcase. He broke his pull-down PR by 2 mph and then sat his previous PR, touching 94+.🔥
He's since committed to Sacramento State out of the TPS. ✍️

So here’s a sneak peak at @Edwards17Rex bullpen today prepping for our showcase event this week..
Was 88-90 T91 a month ago, now looking like he could be a prime time guy in a lot of programs going forward 👀
More video and data coming soon 🔥
