Urology Group Aalst Team Makes a Prominent Appearance at ERUS26 🇮🇹 From September 9 to 11, the international robotic urology community will gather in Padua for ERUS26, the 23rd annual meeting of the EAU Robotic Urology Section. The conference is known for its strong focus on live surgery, complex procedures, and the exchange of expertise among international specialists. No fewer than four urologists from Urology Group Aalst are actively participating in the program: - Prof. Alexandre Mottrie will perform a robot-assisted adrenalectomy using the Hugo robot. - Dr. Edward Lambert will perform a robot-assisted radical prostatectomy using the Hugo robot. - Dr. Ruben De Groote is performing a ureteral reimplantation using the Boari flap technique with the Hugo robot. - Dr. Geert De Naeyer is supervising a teleproctoring case from Padua. He is remotely monitoring and guiding a procedure on a patient at the AZORG Moorselbaan campus. The adenomectomy is being performed using the TUMAI robot by a physician on site. - Dr. De Backer will moderate several different lectures throughout the program. “For us, robotic surgery is not just about technology, but above all about what we can do for patients with it. We want to perform complex procedures at a high level and share our knowledge with colleagues worldwide” says Dr. Ruben De Groote, urologist at AZORG. With four AZORG urologists actively participating in the live surgery program, the department reaffirms its position as an international center of excellence. The fact that Professor Alexandre Mottrie, one of the pioneers of modern robotic urology, is one of the founders of the ERUS meeting adds a special dimension to AZORG’s presence in Padua. urologygroupaalst.be #UrologyGroupAalst #ERUS26 #RoboticSurgery #Urology

In cisplatin-ineligible patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer, enfortumab vedotin–pembrolizumab plus surgery led to better event-free survival (74.7%, vs. 39.4%) and overall survival (79.7%, vs. 63.1%) than surgery alone at 2 years. I smile: when one contributes data that even minimally challenge the idea of #radiotherapy as uneventful, it is dismissed as “narrative”; yet in some RCTs (PACE-A), reporting 50% incontinence at 2 years after #prostatectomy is called “data”.

1/2 KN905 Enfortumab Vedotin + Pembro continues to transform bladder cancer in spectacle fashion. In cisplatin ineligible operable disease it beats cystectomy with EFS HR 0.4, OS HR 0.5. pCR of 57% is much ⬆️ than anything before #ESMO25 pCR> 50% questions unselected surgery
