We often use the phrase 'Leave no one behind'. But that makes exclusion sound like an accident, like leaving your handbag on the bus. There is nothing accidental about girls being denied education, women being denied bodily autonomy, or children being denied the chance to thrive. #WHS2026 @WorldHealthSmt
At yesterday's #WHS2026 Signature Event 'From Crisis to Resilience — Innovating for Health', I reflected on what the AIDS response teaches us about inequality, access and resilience. My message: Exclusion is not an accident. It is the result of choices made through laws, policies and institutions - which we can change. #UnitedToEndAIDS 📺 youtube.com/live/zjCWgByyJuw…

Ask a young person what they want out of life and the answer barely changes, wherever you ask. What changes is how far out of reach it is. This year's International Youth Day theme, in one line: different contexts, common aspirations. #YouthDay #GlobalGoals @UN4Youth @UNDESA @UN

A safe house. A generation talking about mental health. Her honesty about HIV now shapes world HIV policy. Nobody assigned it. 64 years since Dar es Salaam. The address changed. The argument didn't. #PanAfricanWomensDay #EducationPlus @UNAIDS @Winnie_Byanyima

Periods should never interrupt a girl’s education, health or future. On #MenstrualHygieneDay, we reaffirm the importance of investing in menstrual health, period-friendly schools and supportive environments where girls and young women can learn, lead and thrive with dignity.

Today is #WorldChildrensDay. On World Children’s Day and every day, we honour the promise of the Convention: every child, everywhere, has rights. Let’s stand up for a world where those rights are not just words — but reality. #InvestInUGchildren #MyDayMyRights #WCD2025

A girl growing up today risks having fewer rights than her mother, and in some cases, even her grandmother. The time for change is now⏰
