Hot tip. If you've visited an event, you haven't, in fact, "helped to deliver" that event. ...and suggesting you have is an embarrassment and robs people of their hard work. Stop peacocking. Just get a body of work and talk authentically about that. #fridayrant

I had a fab chat with @mathewogreen on The Art of Teaching Podcast. Give it a listen, I hope you like this chat as much as I did! podbean.com/ew/pb-uesqf-1871…

Help me understand why you'd be this level of jerk to bring down someone's rating when you have yourself clearly said you'd rebook and that it is an excellent place? HELP ME to understand this.

I was in a cafe yesterday. Only three of us were there. The two men were talking about local #schools and absently discounting the #publicschools in the area. I know the local schools and chose to be that person and chime in... here's what resulted.

Longish intro to a short end; he's going to see his local school. It's a fab school and it should be his first choice of school. He's also going to explore the other schools to make a good choice for his kid; he knows his kid best and we have many choices of schools which is fab

.... but how good it was to see his eyes light up when the local public school was "back on the table". I realised it will take another generation to believe in the quality of #publiceducation. In the meantime, we should talk it to anyone who listens to change hearts + minds.

The broad discourse around the teaching profession is laden with unhelpful polemics and conspicuously lacking in respect for teachers as professionals. ping @JaneCaro @PollyDunning linkedin.com/pulse/professio…

Bourke PS 3/4B have been learning about probability. Today, students were set the challenge to create an unfair carnival game, that would have a high probability that the customer would lose. Students designed their games and peers played them. @KathyPowzun @dizdarm @robocatdan

Maybe they don't match your energy. Maybe there's been a moment of misunderstanding. Either way... how are you going to make it work, at work? linkedin.com/pulse/working-p…

When people with the same last name as you are checking out your LinkedIn, do you also wonder if they are using it as some sort of Ancestory.Com situation?

Along with the NTLC and NTYVPG, it's a joy to work with the NT Youth Round Table in 2024; an independent advisory group to the Minister for Youth and the NT Government. I'll be supporting members to develop skillsets to have their say on topics that impact young Territorians.

fab news!
🎮 Exciting announcement from @jessrowlings , @martinezgeek & myself - over the past 18 months we have been writing a book that puts a spotlight on inclusion in school esports programs, a topic near and dear to our hearts (as many people in our networks would know). Coming soon!
