It was something about Coach Steele that always made me comfortable. It had nothing to do with basketball. He checks on me more now than when I was in the NBA. Everybody hits you up when you’re in the NBA but the moment you’re not, nobody cares. That’s somebody I would want my son to play for. I’ve been out of college for almost a decade now, and everything he told my dad on the phone recruiting me is still true to this day. It just means a lot when someone you think so highly of is exactly who you thought they were. Me and my family have so much love for him. 🫡
Great leagues all throughout the world, but it’s nothing like putting on an NBA jersey. So I always understand guys who grind for the opportunity, or when it comes, they immediately take it, even if it’s taking less money. You’re really living your childhood dream.
Played with great pace today and made great reads. Only going to get much better with games under his belt as the starting PG.
It’s definitely used as a filler word like we use um 😂 but man the first time I heard it I looked at my other American teammate so crazy and he was just laughing cuz he already knew what I meant 😂

Jet lag and hooping is the worst combination ever… 12-hour time difference, only sleeping for 3-hour intervals, eating schedule is off, then when afternoon practice comes around it feels like I’m supposed to be asleep. Only way I can explain it is it feels like I’m in autopilot.
