"Hail, thou once despised Jesus!
Hail thou Galilean King!
Thou didst suffer to release us;
thou didst free savlation bring.
Hail, thou agonizing Savior,
bearer of our sin and shame!
By thy merits we find favor;
life is given through thy name."
Amazing video of this morning's SpaceX launch, as seen from just north of Atlanta. Video accelerated 15x. Booster separation and boostback burn visible to the right at the outset.
"Let us praise, and join the chorus
of the saints enthroned on high;
here they trusted Christ before us,
now their praises fill the sky:
"You have washed us with your blood,
you are worthy, Lamb of God!"
"Let us wonder: grace and justice
join and point to mercy's store;
when through grace in Christ our trust is,
justice smiles and asks no more:
he who washed us with his blood
has secured our way to God."
"Let us sing, though fierce temptation
threaten hard to bear us down!
For the Lord, our strong salvation,
holds in view the conqu'ror's crown:
he who washed us in his blood
soon will bring us home to God."
"Let us love the Lord who bought us,
pitied us when enemies,
called us by his grace, and taught us,
gave us ears and gave us eyes:
he has washed us with his blood,
he presents our souls to God."
"Let us love and sing and wonder,
let us praise the Savior's name!
He has hushed the law's loud thunder,
he has quenched Mount Sinai's flame:
he has washed us with his blood,
he has brought us nigh to God."

Fairest Lord Jesus,
Ruler of all nature,
Son of God and Son of Man!
Thee will I cherish,
thee will I honor,
thou my soul's glory, joy, and crown.
Beautiful Savior!
Lord of the nations!
Son of God and Son of Man!
Glory and honor,
praise, adoration,
now and forever more be thine.

Great book. I regularly reread the scene where Ai and Estraven first behold the Gobrin Glacier. Stunningly beautiful prose. "The sledge pulled like a feather, and we laughed for joy."
"Thou art the Life, by which alone we live,
and all our substance and our strength receive;
O comfort us in death's approaching hour,
stronghearted then to face it by thy pow'r.”
"Thou art the King of mercy and of grace,
reigning omnipotent in every place;
so come, O King, and our whole being sway;
shine on us with the light of thy pure day."
"Be this, while life is mine,
my canticle divine:
May Jesus Christ be praised.
Be this th'eternal song,
through all the ages on:
May Jesus Christ be praised."
“In heav'n's eternal bliss
the loveliest strain is this:
May Jesus Christ be praised.
The pow'rs of darkness fear,
when this sweet chant they hear:
May Jesus Christ be praised."
"When morning gilds the skies,
my heart awaking cries:
May Jesus Christ be praised.
Alike at work and prayer
to Jesus I repair:
May Jesus Christ be praised.”
"Hallelujahs render
to the Lord most tender,
ye who know and love the Savior.
Hallelujahs sing ye,
ye redeemed, oh, bring ye
hearts that yield him glad behavior.
Blest are ye
endlessly;
sinless there forever,
ye shall laud him ever."
"O my soul, rejoicing,
sing, thy praises voicing,
sing, with hymns of faith adore him!
All who here have being,
shout, your voices freeing,
bow down in the dust before him.
He is God
Sabaoth;
praise alone the Savior,
here and there forever."
"Heavens, spread the story
of our Maker's glory,
all the pomp of earth obscuring.
Sun, thy rays be sending,
thy bright beams expending,
light to all the earth assuring.
Moon and star,
praise afar
him who glorious made you;
the vast heavens aid you."
