If you want to get up close and personal with the history and architecture of the homes, we offer Inside the Homes Tours every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 a.m.! Visitors will enjoy rooms not seen during other tours. Tour time: Approximately 90 minutes

The Monkey Brush Vine, Combretum rotundifolium, is blooming! This plant produces clusters of flowers with stamens ranging in color from yellow to deep orange along the tips of its branches. The flowers resemble the bristles of a brush, which is where the common name originated.

The Desert Rose (Adenium obesum) is known for its vibrant, fragrant flowers, which are typically red or pink. It is unique for its thick, succulent trunk and thin, delicate leaves. The Desert Rose is native to Africa, the Middle East, and Madagascar. #blooming

Garden Class: Shade Gardening is offered on Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. to noon! This class will cover adding color, highlighting specimens, and improving an existing shady corner with compatible plants. Walk-ins are welcome for this class! Members: $45; Non-Members: $60 #Garden

Merry Christmas to all of our community friends, visitors, and members! Thomas & Mina Edison only spent one Christmas at Seminole Lodge in 1929. Mr. Edison was immersed in work in the 1928 Edison Botanic Research laboratory, while Mina Edison worked on community holiday projects.

Edison and Ford Winter Estates will close at 2 p.m. today, Christmas Eve, with last tickets sold at noon. Holiday Nights will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well. The museum store and Ford Holiday Cottage are open until 2:00 p.m. with great gifts
