Could we hit $5/mile this cycle?
I could make a case that the capacity purge will be so massive that it is possible.
Trucking capacity is the tightest it has been in years, with no relief coming anytime soon.
The SCOTUS decision could result in the biggest trucking capacity purge in history.
There are an estimated 1.2m trucks (36%) with no safety-rating.
There are an estimated 300k trucks with a conditional safety rating.
That is 1.5m trucks that have a broker can’t demonstrate is “safe” using government data.
To put it in perspective, the compliance crackdown has taken an estimated 40k trucks out of commission since last June and we’ve seen what rates have already done.
If brokers refuse to load those trucks it would wipe out more capacity than any event in history.
Welcome to the trucking super cycle.

When I took office in 2019, Florida’s economy was a little over $1 trillion in size.
The most recent numbers from Q3 of 2025 now register Florida’s economy at $1.85 trillion in size — an increase of more than 70% in just seven years.
During this period we have enacted the largest tax reductions in FL history, vetoed a record amount of spending, paid down 50% of the state’s outstanding historical debt, and maintained the smallest government per capita in the US.

BREAKING: Michael and Susan Dell are donating $6.25 billion to fund "Trump Accounts" for 25 million US kids.
The commitment comes with a new federal government program which allows parents to open tax-advantaged investment accounts for children under 18.
Under the federal program, US citizens born from the beginning of 2025 through 2028 will receive a federal grant of $1,000 to their “Trump Accounts.”
The Dells have committed to fund these accounts with $250 for children who are 10 or under.
The pledged funds will cover 25 million children age 10 and under in ZIP codes with a median income of $150,000 or less.

President Trump mandate federal law to eliminate ALL red tape and incentivize building 5,000,000 homes in top 20 cities. Dem cities will resist and be left behind, red states will support.
In 1972 we built 2.28 million homes in one year. We have better technology- just get rid of red tape disguised as environmental concerns, epa, fema, coastal commission & permits.
