I visited the woman who was the victim of an unprovoked assault. After talking directly w/ her, it’s clear this is a hate crime. I filed a res denouncing hate & violence against our AAPI community. There is no place for hate, discrimination, or violence against our AAPI neighbors
Instead of providing positive leadership to Boston residents, the @BOSCityCouncil is more focused on politics as usual. Boston residents have lost faith and confidence in the city council. Residents deserve a city council that demonstrates professionalism and integrity!

I had the opportunity to join Councilor Culpepper as an original sponsor of a resolution to suspend the gas tax in MA. This is about acknowledging MA residents are struggling pay their bills and doing something about it. Residents deserve relief. This is a positive step.

This morning, on site at Downtown Boston. I talked with police officers, residents, business owners, workers, social service providers and community partners. We discussed public safety and quality of life issues. I love Downtown Boston. I’m not giving up on this neighborhood!
Surveillance and advanced technology are important for any police department. However, what’s most important is having the correct number of police officers to effectively provide public safety. Additionally, Boston Police Officers are not supported by city politicians!
A 2022 ordinance requires BPD to receive City Council approval before forging ahead with new surveillance. But in the city’s 2025 report, councilors say the city and department were using an "exigent circumstances" loophole. on.nbcboston.com/kJgG8eh
The @BOSCityCouncil hearing to discuss the Blackstone School swimming pool is tomorrow at 10:00am. However, even though the meeting was scheduled for almost a month, BPS stated they are now unable to participate due to a public event with the Red Sox. The meeting will go forward! – at Boston, MA
While there is no longer an MCAS graduation requirement, scores have failed to rebound to levels achieved prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. I called for an emergency hearing to find ways to improve. Education in the digital age is a challenge w/ cell phones, laptops & AI. #bospoli

We can't accept the status quo when it comes to low staffing levels @bostonpolice. Our officers are being asked to do more with fewer resources, while working mandatory overtime & 16 & 17 hr days. I filed a resolution in support of commission to hire & retain officers. #bospoli
