I just made a 3D model harness for Astra. It is actually insane. Every demo of Astra shows amazing models but secretly took hours to make and cost hundreds of $$. With our harness it made this 3D model in @SloydAi in literally 3 minutes. Reply for early access.

The fact that people actually think this is real tells me people have a LOT of faith in what AI can do now 🤣
This is what Astra did in Blender in 30 seconds. We are so unbelievably cooked.

GPT-6 Astra is our best model yet for computer use, software engineering, and visual understanding to date. Hear from the builders putting it to work:

I painted my deck and this is what it taught me about building a startup: - it takes longer than you think. -devil's in the details. - it helps to build do it with a friend. - just when you think you're done, there's always something more. more below

3/4 - don't waste your paint. The drive to the shop is long (yes im talking about money and raising from investors -it takes time) - you need more paint than you think (and you might need more money than you think) - prep work is everything.

4/4 - you have to learn new things and techniques along the way. - improvise. - if you didn't post it to social media, it's like it never happened.

I just hit @github rate limiting because I had too many sessions hitting it at the same time.. And GitHub went down last week from increased usage. I guess im not exactly helping to solve their challenges 😅

One developer got tired of his laptop sounding like a jet engine, so he rebuilt the desktop apps everyone takes for granted. Slack went from 524 MB down to 8 MB. Discord from 265 MB down to 9 MB. ChatGPT from 260 MB down to 9 MB. The reason every "desktop app" eats this much memory is simple - most of them are just websites wrapped in an entire copy of Chrome. Electron ships a full browser engine with every single app, whether you need it or not. In 2022, a Chinese developer named tw93 got fed up and built Pake in Rust to fix this at the root. > Native apps that come in under 10 MB instead of hundreds > One command turns any website into a real desktop app > MIT licensed, fully open source, over 50,000 GitHub stars He didn't raise money. He didn't start a company. He just deleted hundreds of megabytes of bloat with code and gave it away for free. THAT'S WHAT SHIPPING ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE. Github: github.com/tw93/pake
