🚨BREAKING: A former MIT scientist has won a $6 million defamation verdict against the colleague who accused him of sexual misconduct.
A Suffolk County jury ordered Kristin Knouse to pay David Sabatini $6 million after finding she defamed him and interfered with his ability to make a living.
Sabatini left the Whitehead Institute in 2021 after Knouse’s allegations led to an investigation that found he sexually harassed employees. He said their relationship was consensual. Knouse said it was coercive and that he created a hostile, sexualized workplace.
The jury of seven women and six men rejected her claims. Sabatini’s lawyer said the verdict restored his good name.
The high-profile #MeToo case that ended his career at MIT has now resulted in a multimillion-dollar judgment against the accuser. The jury found she defamed him.

Many will probably disagree with me but I’m starting to think this was a horrible accident at the soccer field in Kansas. First of all her two young kids were in the car, secondly she was heard yelling afterwards “omg omg what did I do””?” Now we are seeing she has been released with no charges yet. I’m not saying she may not have been impaired or negligent, and she needs to be held accountable, but I do not believe she intentionally ran down all these people.
Regardless of why it happened, two innocent lives were lost and many others were seriously injured. My prayers are with the victims and their families. 🙏
