Teachers earned 73 cents for every dollar that other professionals made in 2022. This is far less than the 93 cents on the dollar they made in 1996. Once again: Is there a “teacher shortage,” or a shortage of jobs that treat educators with the dignity and pay they deserve?

Radar update 10:28 pm, our storms are developing wayyy off to our west. Still lots of time for them to strengthen or weaken before they get to us. Have ways to get warnings overnight before you go to bed.

Corporate greed is Southwest getting a $7 billion bailout during the pandemic & spending $5.6 billion on stock buybacks to enrich wealthy shareholders, while stranded passengers are threatened with jail time for the crime of trying to rebook canceled flights during the holidays.

I lived most of my life without a blue check mark. Pretty sure I could go back to that and be just fine.

I was delighted and excited to discover the growing country/roots music scene being cultivated at Joelton Hardware Feed and Farmacy up on Clarksville Hwy. featuring Greg Garing and friends. Brought back story and sound, plus photos by @EdRode. wmot.org/2021-08-26/scene-co…
611pm. 840 and I65 are getting hammered. by this storm, but the Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be cancelled shortly. Winds have fallen below severe criteria. Keep an eye out for street flooding and rising creeks in SE Williamson county. ^wm

The “cap” and a “temperature inversion.” Same thing. We call it temperature inversion so we can shorten it to “an inversion” at parties to improve our odds of going first at karaoke.
Lots of talk about the "cap" and its role on days like today. What is it? See the graphic for more info. The cap can suppress storm development completely, or it can allow more sunshine and instability to build up until it breaks and results in rapidly forming severe storms.
