BUY THIS BOOK- If You Love Star Trek- SHARE if you agree. @lizklocz did an amazing job. • If you care about people who try REALLY HARD to make Star Trek for YOU the FANS. -Buy this book • If you cried like I did when those lights came on and the bridge was revealed (I cried and I was there, it was THAT good) - Buy the Book • If you love classic Trek and how it was made, Liz goes DEEP into the TNG designs AND the people who designed them - Buy this Book • If you don't like recent Trek, fine. Take a look at the challenges a design team has working 30 years after the TNG world, and what it was like to recreate it and how hard it is today to create those sets in the current era - Buy this Book • If you wondered what is like to stand on the bridge of the USS Enterprise alone and realize a dream, not just for yourself, but for millions of people around the world- Buy this Book • This is the first "The Art Of Star Trek..." by the people who actually made the Art... in decades. I was interviewed for 30 mins for the Art of Picard. Liz spent years working on this with our team AND the TNG team- Buy this Book • This book shouldn't exist. "Who wants a book about just a set? Who cares about carpet? Seriously the carpet? People want books about the characters and actors. " thanks @BenCSRobinson for the support when others thought it was crazy. If YOU are fans like us who poured over the TNG Tech Manual for days - Buy this Book • If you want to support the people who tried and will continue to try to make Star Trek look like Star Trek, make this the best selling Star Trek Art Book of all time it's only $50. - Buy this Book • I will sign ANY copy of this book for free if you bring it up to me - Buy this Book masterreplicas.com/en-us/pro…

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø The Boatlift That Was Bigger Than Dunkirk At 10:45 a.m. on September 11, 2001, a Coast Guard lieutenant named Mike Day keyed a radio in New York Harbor and said the only sentence that mattered. ā€œAll available boats. This is the United States Coast Guard. Anyone wanting to help with the evacuation of Lower Manhattan, report to Governors Island.ā€ The boats were already coming. The bridges were closed. The tunnels were closed. The subways were dead. South of the towers, hundreds of thousands of people had nowhere left to walk. Some jumped into the Hudson. Some stood on seawalls that were never meant to be docks and waited for anything that floated. Dunkirk took nine days to pull 338,226 Allied soldiers off a beach in 1940. On 9/11, roughly 800 mariners on about 150 vessels moved as many as 500,000 civilians off Manhattan in about nine hours. Ferries. Tugs. Dinner boats. Pilot boats. Yachts. A retired fireboat. Rubber dinghies that held two people. The largest water evacuation in history. NY Waterway did not wait for the official call. After the second plane hit, the whole fleet moved. Captain Rick Thornton nosed his ferry against a seawall that was not a slip and started taking people off. Some of them he pulled out of the river. His company alone carried about 158,000 people to Jersey City, Hoboken, Weehawken, Brooklyn, and Queens. On a normal Tuesday they carried 34,000. The Staten Island Ferry moved more than 50,000 people and came back the other way with water, bandages, and men who still had work to do in the dust. The old fireboat John J. Harvey, already retired, tied up near the Museum of Jewish Heritage, took civilians off the seawall, then pumped water when the hydrants downtown died. Lt. Day later admitted what the day required. ā€œI broke more rules that day than probably I’ve enforced in my whole Coast Guard career.ā€ In raw numbers it was bigger than Dunkirk. No boat went down. By nightfall the southern tip of Manhattan had been emptied by people who were not on anyone’s list of heroes when the morning started. They were tug captains. Ferry deckhands. Pilots. A lieutenant with a microphone. Ordinary boats answering one sentence. All available boats.

Telling the truth once it's too late to do anything about it is a cruel CNN specialty.

I actually don’t care who’s LA Mayor. I just want to hire someone who is willing to bring on an adequate number of @LAPD for a city this size; properly equip the @LAFD; pick up the trash in the streets and on the freeways; get rid of all homeless encampments and put the mentally ill people who light fires, harass us at red lights, walk onto the freeways, etc into treatment; uphold existing laws and punish the increasing crime; fill potholes and file down the tire-popping ridges in the roads and freeways; shutdown and prosecute street take-overs that block traffic and scar the intersections; and stop ā€œlosingā€ billions of our tax dollars on various unfinished city projects. It’s a very low bar. @spencerpratt was the only person in this race who planned on doing something about any of it. I’d be fine if Bass as the @MayorOfLA had been interested in doing any of that the past 4 years. I’d be fine if @nithyavraman had gone in this direction during her years in City Council. But now it seems they want us to believe that most of the people in LA just love the city as the mess that it is, and in fact want the very people who made it this way to continue on and make it even worse. Ok. I don’t believe you at all. But, I guess we’ll all get to watch you make a mess of the Olympics and any other event (natural or planned) that occurs here. It’s remarkable that competence is in such short supply.

11-year-old Hilt Bowling accidentally became the internet’s ā€œFrickin' Moon Kidā€ after one iconic line at a NASA Artemis II launch šŸš€ What started as a spontaneous interview turned into viral fame, AI-edited controversy, and even invites from NASA. While Hilt is embracing becoming a meme, he’s also just as obsessed with rockets—filling notebooks with designs and dreaming of becoming an astronaut or starting his own aerospace company. @bolingbrief

I’m officially a member of the 30% Club!!! Because of clouds too often obscuring most or all of Mount Denali/McKinley, only 30% of visitors to Alaska actually get to see the peak! šŸ”ļø
